02 AprilSheraton Hosts Graduating StudentsMANAMA, Bahrain, March 29, 2005. The Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers today hosted 20 graduating students from the 12th Grade, on an introductory tour of the hotel and the Hospitality Industry. The students, all aged 18 – 19 years, were accompanied by their teachers from the Naseem International School, and represent the coming wave of professionals and executives who promise to take Bahrain to new heights. The students are at a crucial stage, where most are deciding which fields to pursue their academic and professional careers in, and the hospitality industry was the main focus of the Sheraton visit. The students were provided with an overview of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, which owns and manages over 850 properties all over the world and is home to 8 world-class, lifestyle brands, including Sheraton. A tour of the hotel was also accompanied by a detailed explanation of hotel operations, particularly how guest service really works, behind the scenes. The students were given an opportunity to visit the newly renovated rooms and suites, with a demonstration of room servicing techniques, including how to perfectly set up the industry-acclaimed Sheraton Sweet Sleeper ™ Bed for a perfect guest experience. “This was a superb opportunity to capture the minds and hearts of our future managers and leaders – the Sheraton Bahrain has always been proud of its associates and I hope that this hospitality overview will motivate some of these aspiring young graduates to pursue a career in hospitality” said Mr.Karlheinz Aumann, General Manager of the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers and Vice-President & Area Director Gulf and CIS.
