Boeing set to launch the Dreamliner worldwide - watch the live premiere on Sunday, July 9 at 1:30am Bahrain Time![]() Boeing will broadcast the Premiere of its newest technologically advanced passenger jet - the 787 Dreamliner - to viewers around the world. The 787 Premiere will be carried live and in nine different languages on Sunday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. PDT or 10:30 p.m. GMT via satellite and Webcast. To view the Webcast, viewers may log on to www.boeing.com or www.newairplane.com. Boeing will broadcast the Premiere to more than 45 countries using 35 satellite TV networks. Beirut or Bust!by Jitendra Jain On a recent (and first time) trip to Beirut, I had a chance to experience, first-hand, the city formerly touted at the “Paris of the East”. An unexpected fog veiled our approach to Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, but did offer a few tantalizing glimpses of the azure waters and ample beaches of the city. The trip by taxi from the airport to the hotel wasn’t particularly impressive, since the scattering of dilapidated and war-ridden buildings along the way do create a depressing image. The Four Points by Sheraton in Le Verdun was a sight for sore eyes after the journey, with a cool, trendy atmosphere and super-efficient service. The rooms were surprisingly spacious too and offered the perfect retreat to recharge for the work and play ahead. [Read More!]

Danish citizens assured safety in Bahrain
With the furore over the cartoon / caricature issue reaching fever pitch, the Danish Government has advised its citizens to leave Syria and Lebanon, and also advised against unnecessary travel to Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Tunisia, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Sudan and the UAE.

Emirates to boost cargo services to South India
With the huge expat base from Kerala in the Middle East, Emirates Airlines is launching new cargo services and boosting existing links to places in the Indian State.
Excerpt: On February 1, Emirates Skycargo will launch services to Thiruvananthapuram with eight weekly flights using a combination of Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777-200 aircraft, the Dubai-based airline said in a statement. Emirates Skycargo will now offer the cargo community around 135 tonnes of belly-hold capacity every week to Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai each, and 120 tonnes to Cochin. These capacities are also supplemented by Emirates Skycargo's Boeing 747-200F freighter, which flies to Chennai once a week offering a capacity of 105 tonnes.
