The match was one an ongoing tournament and was held at the Funland Entertainment Arcade (located near the Exhibition Road area).

Manama, Bahrain - 19th August 2006: The Interhotel Basketball Tournament kicked off yesterday at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, with 7 Teams competing for the title. Yesterday evening’s match saw the Sheraton and Gulf Hotel teams squaring off against each other. After a shaky 1st Quarter, the Sheraton team took a decisive lead and finished strong, with a closing score of 79 – 70.
