Time out in Bahrain - Dolphin Watch at the Bahrain Yacht Club

Sept 13, 2005: I recently had the chance to go for the Dolphin Watch trip at the Bahrain Yacht Club, courtesy Gulf Weekly...and must say that I was pleasantly surprised!

In Bahrain, we usually spend most of our time moving from one air-conditioned space to another...so this was a refreshing change - out in the open...in the sweltering Middle Eastern sun...yet cool and relaxed by the sea breezes. [Read More!]

Great Wood-oven baked Pizzas in Bahrain?

Pizzas in Bahrain

For those Pizza connoisseurs out there looking for a perfect bite in Bahrain, try out Mino's in Adliya or Cafe Italia in Seef Mall - these two restaurants serve super wood-oven baked pizzas...served fast and to perfection.

Cafe Italia is located on the ground floor of Seef Mall and is more reasonably priced than the more relaxed, trendy Mino's restaurant.

There are also a lot of fast-food joints that serve and deliver pizzas, though not with the same character. To feed those hunger pangs in a hurry try Dominoes, Pizza Hut or Papa Joes...some of the more popularly known names out there.

Here are the current contact numbers for some popular restaurants in Bahrain, as published by Gulf Weekly. So far, I've visited Monsoon, Zoe, a quaint little restaurant near Hash House (I can't seem to remember the name), Soie and Al Safir. Anyone have any comments, tips and reviews on the following? I plan to write a couple myself...time permitting! [Read More!]
